Downregulating Stress
This module covers what happens to your body in relation to stress when you have pain, and some tips on how to down regulate your stress.
From here, we’re hoping to help you reflect and think about some strategies for you to manage you pain when it is causing you more stress (and then causing more pain).

Finding ways to regulate your stress level is key.
It’s helpful to think about what works for you. For example:
• Taking deep breaths
• Meditating
• Going for a walk
• Gardening
It doesn’t matter what it is, as long you can do it easily and can feel the impact of stress on your body decreasing (i.e. clearer head, easier breather, muscle tension easing etc.)
