Welcome to Pain NT’s program that is designed to help you build your individual pain management strategy – a space to provide information and simple exercises to help you manage your persistent pain.

Before we get started, lets go through how you can get the most out of the program.


The 6 steps to building your personal pain management strategy

Module Navigation shows 6 boxes corresponds with the following program sections:

  1. Understanding pain

  2. Downregulating stress

  3. Managing flare-ups

  4. Managing psychosocial risks

  5. Pacing

  6. Sleep

Starting at “Module 1: Understanding Pain”, you can work through each section at your own pace, with each taking approximately 15-30 minutes.

There is a video to watch and some simple exercises we recommend you practice for each section. We find that those who do the exercises see better progress recovery.

Things you need to get started!

All you need to get started is a quiet space so you can listen and watch the videos, and a pen and paper for the exercises which include important pain management strategies.

 

Optional: Download a worksheet to use if you have access to a printer.

But don’t worry if you don’t have a printer.

As above, you just need a piece of paper and pen.

 

You can click the boxes in Module Navigation to navigate from each section, or follow the next button at the end of each page. You can go back and revisit sections to re-watch as many times as you want.

We also provide some key take-away points from each video so you don’t feel like you have to take notes- but of course feel free to jot down anything that stands out to you and your pain journey!
